Here we delineate types of RNA modifications, and provide examples demonstrating roles of such modifications in biology of filamentous fungi including fungal patho- gens. We also discuss the possibility that RNA modifica- tion systems in fungal pathogens could be a prospective target for new agrochemicals. -
