J. C. Mill?n-Calenti, A. Maseda, A. Badii, T. Lorenzo, M. Villanueva, C. P?rez 한국노년학연구회 한국노년학연구 21 Pages
한국노년학연구회 한국노년학연구 2009, 제 18권 2 15-35 (21 pages)
Technological progress and changes in society, together with an increasingly ageing population, especially in developed countries, have demanded solutions to the problems linked to this aging and the increasing number of elderly people. We describe two assistive systems being currently developed and improved; the first one “Telegerontology” is a gerontological resource that through the Internet, facilitates different functionalities at home or in institutions such as physical and cognitive... -

Improvement of gas sensing properties of carbon nanofibers based on polyacrylonitrile and pitch by steam activation
Jeongsik Kim, Hyung-Il Kim, Jumi Yun 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 5 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 5 36-40 (5 pages)
Polyacrylonitrile/pitch nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning as a precursor for a gas sensor material. Pitch nanofibers were properly fabricated by incorporating polyacrylonitrile as an electrospinning supplement component. Polyacrylonitrile/pitch nanofibers were activated with steam at various temperatures followed by subsequent carbonization to make carbon nanofibers with a highly conductive graphitic structure. Steam activation was effective in facilitating gas adsorption onto the... -
Electrochemical determination of chloramphenicol using a glassy carbon electrode modified with dendrite-like Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles
Krishnan Giribabu, Sung-Chan Jang, Yuvaraj Haldorai, Muruganantham Rethinasabapathy, Seo Yeong Oh, Arunkumar Rengaraj, Young-Kyu Han 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 10 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.23 6 38-47 (10 pages)
In this study, magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles were electrochemically synthesized in an aqueous electrolyte at a given potential of -1.3 V for 180 s. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that dendrite-like Fe3O4 nanoparticles with a mean size of < 80 nm were electrodeposited on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The Fe3O4/GCE was utilized for sensing chloramphenicol (CAP) by cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. A reduction peak of CAP at the Fe3O4/GCE was observed at 0.62 V, whereas... -
Adsorption of Nile Blue A from aqueous solution by different nanostructured carbon adsorbents
Shahryar Abbasi, Hadi Noorizadeh 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.23 5 30-37 (8 pages)
Dyes are widely used in various industries including textile, cosmetic, paper, plastics, rubber, and coating, and their discharge into waterways causes serious environmental and health problems. Four different carbon nanostructures, graphene oxide, oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes, activated carbon and multi-walled carbon nanotubes, were used as adsorbents for the removal of Nile Blue A (NBA) dye from aqueous solution. The four carbon nanostructures were characterized by scanning electron... -
Carbon nanotubes synthesis using diffusion and premixed flame methods: a review
Garima Mittal, Vivek Dhand, Kyong Yop Rhee, Hyeon-Ju Kim and Dong Ho Jung 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 10 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2015, Vol.16 No.1 1 1-10 (10 pages)
In recent years, flame synthesis has absorbed a great deal of attention as a combustion method for the production of metal oxide nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and other related carbon nanostructures, over the existing conventional methods. Flame synthesis is an energyefficient, scalable, cost-effective, rapid and continuous process, where flame provides the necessary chemical species for the nucleation of carbon structures (feed stock or precursor) and the energy for the production of carbon...
