Potential Reasons for Prevalence of Fusarium Wilt in Oriental Melon in Korea
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 15 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2017, 33권 3호 4 249-263 (15 pages)
This study aims to examine the potential reasons for the current prevalence of the fusarium wilt in the oriental melon. Twenty-seven Fusarium isolates obtained from oriental melon greenhouses in 2010–2011 were identified morphologically and by analysis of elongation factor-1 alpha gene (EF-1α) and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rDNA sequences as 6 Fusarium species (8 isolates of F. oxysporum, 8 F. commune, 5 F. proliferatum, 3 F. equiseti, 2 F. delphinoides, and 1 F.... -
Feasibility Study for Detection of Turnip yellow mosaic virus (TYMV) Infection of Chinese Cabbage Plants Using Raman Spectroscopy
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 5 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2013, 29권 1호 13 105-109 (5 pages)
enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was employed. Spectra of extracts from healthy and Turnip yellow mosaic virus (TYMV) infected Chinese cabbage leaves were collected by mixing with gold (Au) nanoparticles. Our result showed that TYMV infected plants could be discriminated from non-infected healthy plants, suggesting the current method described here would be an alternative potential tool to screen virus-infection of plants in fields although it needs more studies to generalize the technique. -
Survival of Erwinia amylovora on Surfaces of Materials Used in Orchards
Hyun Ju Choi, Yeon Ju Kim, Yeon-Jeong Lim, Duck Hwan Park 한국식물병리학회 식물병연구 5 Pages
한국식물병리학회 식물병연구 2019, 25권 2호 6 89-93 (5 pages)
Fire blight disease caused by the bacterium, Erwinia amylovora, was observed in apple and pear orchards in Korea in 2015. Since then, it has spread, sometimes over long distances to other orchards. Therefore, we examined the ability of E. amylovora to survive in soils and on the surfaces of common materials such as T-shirts, wrist bands, pruning shears, and rubber boots by both conventional PCR (cPCR) and quantitative PCR (qPCR) methods. E. amylovora was detected in all materials tested in this... -

Observational Study of Early Childhood Care and Education Programs in Rural Government Primary Schools in Tamil Nadu, India
Shubha Janardhan, Jayanthi Venkataraman, Suptendra Nath Sarbadhikari 환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 28 Pages
환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.2 11 229-256 (28 pages)
An Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program in rural India was evaluated in terms of care and learning outcomes of children. The study was undertaken to observe and describe the ECCE system for children who were economically and educationally disadvantaged and enrolled in three Government Primary Schools (GPS) in India. In particular, the study tries to answer the question, ‘What factors affect the learning of Mathematics and English in the primary schools of rural Tamil Nadu?’... -
Relationships among Leisure Involvement, Leisure Habit, Tourist Motivation and Tourist Behavior
Chang Seo hee 한국여가문화학회 여가학연구 28 Pages
한국여가문화학회 여가학연구 2015, Vol.13 No.3 1 1-28 (28 pages)
Increasing interest in physically active leisure lifestyles parallels the growth in physically active tourist pursuits. The purpose of this study was to examine the psychological and behavioral relationship between active leisure and tourism. Leisure and tourist activities, leisure involvement, leisure habit, tourist motivation, and tourist behavior were used to investigate this relationship. A probability sample of 316 university alumni association members who participate in active leisure and... -
Thermoelectric Seebeck and Peltier effects of single walled carbon nanotube quantum dot nanodevice
H. A. El-Demsisy, M. D. Asham, D. S. Louis, A. H. Phillips 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.21 2 8-15 (8 pages)
The thermoelectric Seebeck and Peltier effects of a single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) quantum dot nanodevice are investigated, taking into consideration a certain value of applied tensile strain and induced ac-field with frequency in the terahertz (THz) range. This device is modeled as a SWCNT quantum dot connected to metallic leads. These two metallic leads operate as a source and a drain. In this three-terminal device, the conducting substance is the gate electrode. Another metallic gate... -
Nanoporous graphene oxide membrane and its application in molecular sieving
S. Mahmood Fatemi, Masoud Arabieh, Hamid Sepehrian 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 9 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2015, Vol.16 No.3 4 183-191 (9 pages)
Gas transport through graphene-derived membranes has gained much interest recently due to its promising potential in filtration and separation applications. In this work, we explore Kr-85 gas radionuclide sequestration from natural air in nanoporous graphene oxide membranes in which different sizes and geometries of pores were modeled on the graphene oxide sheet. This was done using atomistic simulations considering mean-squared displacement, diffusion coefficient, number of crossed species of... -
Hierarchical porous carbon nanofibers via electrospinning
Aikifa Raza, Jiaqi Wang, Shan Yang, Yang Si, Bin Ding 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 14 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2014, Vol.15 No.1 1 1-14 (14 pages)
Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) with diameters in the submicron and nanometer range exhibit high specific surface area, hierarchically porous structure, flexibility, and super strength which allow them to be used in the electrode materials of energy storage devices, and as hybrid-type filler in carbon fiber reinforced plastics and bone tissue scaffold. Unlike catalytic synthesis and other methods, electrospinning of various polymeric precursors followed by stabilization and carbonization has become a...
