Contribution of Bulk Flow to Transport Mechanisms of the Membranes Surrounding Amniotic Fluid in the Rabbit
Lim, Young-Cheol, Lee, Sang-Jin, Sung, Ho-Kyung 대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 12 Pages
대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 1994, 제 28권 제 1호 8 79-90 (12 pages)
0.05% Censored and 15 mM/l LiCl was administered initially into amniotic sacs of all subject animals. Samples of amniotic fluid were collected in after 30 and 90 minute intervals; the concentrations of Censored, Na+ and Li+ were determined and compared. Followings are the results obtained. 1. from isovolumetric and increased Congcord group, we couldn t find significant change in Li+ and Na+ concentration in isotonic amniotic fluid. However, Na+ concentration increased significantly as well as a... -
Effect of Changing Amniotic Fluid Osmolarity on the Li+ Transport Through the Membrane Surrounding Amniotic Fluid in the Rabbit
Chang, Jin-Keun, Lee, Sang-Jin, Sung, Ho-Kyung 대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 14 Pages
대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 1993, 제 27권 제 1호 2 13-26 (14 pages)
while the injection of mannitol into the maternal vein induced no significant change. From these results it is concluded that: 1) a significant amount of Li+ may leave the amniotic fluid via filtration through the membranes surrounding the amniotic fluid, 2) during hyperosmolar challenge to amniotic fluid, osmotic bulk flow might counteract the filterable loss, and 3) Li+ disappearance might continue even after the volume and osmolarity of the amniotic fluid have recovered to control values. -
Genome Wide Analysis of the Potato Soft Rot Pathogen Pectobacterium carotovorum Strain ICMP 5702 to Predict Novel Insights into Its Genetic Features
Tista Mallick, Rukmini Mishra, Sasmita Mohanty, Raj Kumar Joshi 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 13 Pages

+ C content of 51.90% and 4,520 open reading frames. Genome annotation revealed prominent genes encoding key virulence factors such as plant cell wall degrading enzymes, flagella-based motility, phage proteins, cell membrane structures, and secretion systems. Whereas, a majority of determinants were conserved among the Pectobacterium strains, few notable genes encoding AvrE-family type III secretion system effectors, pectate lyase and metalloprotease in addition to the CRISPR-Cas based adaptive... -
Current Classification of the Bacillus pumilus Group Species, the Rubber- Pathogenic Bacteria Causing Trunk Bulges Disease in Malaysia as Assessed by MLSA and Multi rep-PCR Approaches

formerly established as B. pumilus, were found not to be grouped with B. pumilus. However, being distributed within dis- tinctive groups of the B. pumilus group comprising of two clusters, A and B. Cluster A contained of 17 isolates close to B. altitudinis, whereas Cluster B consisted of three isolates attributed to B. safensis. This is the first MLSA and rep-PCR study on B. pumilus group, which provides an in-depth understanding of the diversity of these rubber-pathogenic isolates in Malaysia. -
Virulence Structure of Blumeria graminis f. sp. avenae Populations in Poland across 2014-2015

were used to assess virulence of 180 isolates. The results showed that a significant proportion of the Bga isolates found in Poland were virulent to differentials with Pm1, Pm3, Pm6, and Pm3 + Pm8 genes. In contrast Pm4, Pm5, Pm2, and Pm7 genes were classified as resistant to all pathogen isolates used in the experiment. Based on obtained results we can state that there are differences in virulence pattern and diversity parameters between sites and years, but clear trends are not deducible. -
Comparative Genome Analysis Reveals Natural Variations in the Genomes of Erwinia pyrifoliae, a Black Shoot Blight Pathogen in Apple and Pear

to emerge from this comparison was that although the draft genome of E. pyrifoliae EpK1/15 was almost conserved, Epk1/15 strain had at least three sorts of structural variations in functional annotation according to COG database; chromosome inversion, translocation, and duplication. These results indicate that E. pyrifoliae species has gone natural variations within almost 20 years at the genomic level, and we can trace their similarities and differences with comparative genomic analysis. -
Development of a Daily Epidemiological Model of Rice Blast Tailored for Seasonal Disease Early Warning in South Korea
Kwang-Hyung Kim, Imgook Jung 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 12 Pages

lead time of a few months. As a first step to establish a seasonal disease early warning service using seasonal climate forecasts, we developed the EPIRICE Daily Risk Model for rice blast by extracting and modifying the core infection algorithms of the EPIRICE model. The daily risk scores generated by the EPIRICE Daily Risk Model were successfully converted into a realistic and measurable disease value through statistical analyses with 13 rice blast incidence datasets, and subsequently validated... -
Crosstalk of Zn in Combination with Other Fertilizers Underpins Interactive Effects and Induces Resistance in Tomato Plant against Early Blight Disease
Zoia Arshad Awan, Amna Shoaib, Kashif Ali Khan 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 11 Pages

A pot experiment was carried out with basal application of the recommended level of macronutrients [nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK)] and micronutrients [magnesium (Mg) and boron (B)] in bilateral combination with Zn (2.5 and 5.0 mg/kg) in a completely randomized deigned in replicates. Results revealed that interactive effect of Zn with Mg or B was often futile and in some cases synergistic. Zn with NPK yield synergistic outcome, therefore EB disease was managed significantly (disease... -
Physiological and Molecular Characterization of Cephaleuros virescens Occurring in Mango Trees

of the causal agent of the algal spot in mango trees. For this purpose, the pathogen growth was assessed in different culture media, with subsequent observation and measurements of the filamentous cells. The molecular identification was made using mycelium obtained from leaf lesions and pure algae colonies grown in culture medium. Descriptions based on DNA sequencing indicated that the algae is Cephaleuros virescens. The algae must be isolated primarily in liquid medium for further pricking into... -
Comparison of Microbial Community Structure in Kiwifruit Pollens
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 7 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2018, 34권 2호 8 143-149 (7 pages)
the four different pollens were Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria and Firmicutes. However, the imported and the domestic pollen samples showed different aspects of microbial community structures. The domestic pollens had more diverse in diversity than the imported samples. Among top 20 OTUs, Pseudomonas spp. was the most dominant specie. Interestingly, a bacterial pathogen of kiwifruit canker, Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae was detected in ‘NZ’ by the specific PCR. This study...
