gap junction blocker, heptanol, but not by glutamatergic synapse blocker, kynurenic acid. By tracking down all the RGC pairs which showed narrow correlation, we could harvest 40 functional connectivity maps of RGCs which showed the cell cluster firing together. We suggest that finding functional connectivity map would be useful in stimulation encoding strategy for the retinal prosthesis since stimulating the cluster of RGCs would be more efficient than separately stimulating each individual RGC. -

chronic stimulation of B cell receptors (BCR) by BCR-ligation (anti-IgM Ab, 3μg/ml, 8∼12 h) significantly upregulated the amplitude of clotrimazole- sensitive current from 11.4⁑3.1 to 53.1⁑8.6 pA/pF in Bal-17 cells. In WEHI-231 cells, the effect of BCR-ligation was significantly small (5.7⁑1.15 to 9.0⁑1.00 pA/pF). The differential expression and regulation by BCR-ligation might reflect functional changes in the maturation of B lymphocytes. -

The characteristics of Na+-dependent cycloleucine uptake was investigated in OK cells with regard to substrate specificity and regulation by protein kinase C (PKC). the above results, we think the second type of K+ channel is the sarcoplasmic reticulum K+ (SRK) channel. In addition, both types of channel were also incorporated into the lipids extracted from the skeletal muscle. The channel properties recorded in the bilayers termed from synthetic and extracted lipids were qualitatively similar. Our data indicate that BK and SRK channels are rich in the skeletal muscle and their properties and regulation could be effectively studied in planar lipid bilayer. -
