This study examines the self-monitoring tendency’s role in communication campaign message effects. Analysis of survey data in a charity campaign context indicates that high self-monitors evaluate the charity campaign message more favorably than low self-monitors. In addition, perceived message effectiveness and presumed media influence are significantly associated with charitable behavior intention only among high selfmonitors. Using the methods of stopped-flow and epifluorescence microscopy with entrapped fluorophore, membrane permeability of NH3 and weak acids in liposomes, renal brush border (BBMV) and basolateral membrane vesicles (BLMV), and primary culture cells from renal proximal tubule was measured.
