경전을 통해서 본 성과 성교육에 대한 불교의 관점

이 글에서는 불교경전에 나타난 성에 관한 가르침을 현재 우리가 당면하고 있는 성 문제와 관련하여 고찰해 보았다. 불교에서 성에 대한 욕망 내지 감각적 욕망은 극복하거나 또는 절제해야 하는 것으로 파악되는데 그 이유는 지나친 욕망의 추구는 결국 고통으로 귀결되기 때문이다. 이러한 인식은 불교의 성교육에 있어서 기본이 돼야 할 것으로서 이를 통해 성에 대한 자발적인 절제가 이루어질 수 있다. 대승불교에 있어서는 보살행의 실천을 중심으로 성에 대한 다양한 가르침이 전해지고 있어서 반야경에서는 오욕락을 누려도... -
