1 1-25 (25 pages)

Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 6 Pages
2 164-169 (6 pages)
Objective: This research investigated the effects of simple visual imagery and mental rotation imagery on neural activity of adults who are at high risk of smart phone addiction by measuring their electroencephalography (EEG). Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Thirty people with a high risk of smart phone addiction was selected and then were evaluated for their neural activation patterns using EEG after reminding them about simple visual imagery and mental rotation imagery. A simple visual... -
The effects of low level laser radiation on bacterial growth
Wendy Chung, Jerrold S. Petrofsky, Michael Laymon, Jason Logoluso, Joon Park, Judy Lee, Ha-neul Lee 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 7 Pages
4 20-26 (7 pages)
Objective: The low level lasers currently in the market vary in wavelength, dosage, and frequency. These devices are used with much different clinical pathology. Most notably, some studies claim that wounds heal faster with low level laser therapy due to the fact that bacteria commonly found in wounds are killed by laser light. Systemic and meta-analysis studies found the difficulty of comparison of numerous research studies because of differences in the intensities and frequencies of low level... -
From the personal to the societal – the challenge of moving from everyday ‘interpersonal’ digital literacies to deeper social understandings
The Journal of Education 9 Pages
The Journal of Education 2019, Vol.2 No.2 2 17-25 (9 pages)
This paper is based on the keynote presentation at MIL 2019 in Seoul, November 2019. It argues, that as the digital has transformed social relationships, what we know about the world, and how that knowledge constitutes and legitimates forms of authority, forms of power and contemporary politics, so we need a changed version of media or digital literacy. Media literacy or digital literacy have taken their time in becoming an acceptable part of both the school curriculum but there is now a greater... -
Molecular-level evaluation of selected periodontal pathogens from subgingival regions in canines and humans with periodontal disease
Magdalena Goły?ska, Izabela Polkowska, Małgorzata Bartoszcze-Tomaszewska, Aleksandra Sobczy?ska-Rak, Łukasz Matuszewski 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 8 Pages
7 51-58 (8 pages)
Dogs commonly serve as a model for various human conditions, including periodontal diseases. The aim of this study was to identify the anaerobic bacteria that colonize the subgingival areas in dogs and humans by using rapid real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)-based tests and to compare the results obtained in each species. Bacterial microflora evaluations, both quantitative and qualitative, were performed by applying ready-made tests on twelve dogs and twelve humans. Five samples were... -
Application of a multiplex PCR assay for Campylobacter fetus detection and subspecies differentiation in uncultured samples of aborted bovine fetuses
Gregorio Iraola, Mart?n Hern?ndez, Luc?a Calleros, Fernando Paolicchi, Silvia Silveyra, Alejandra Velilla, Luis Carretto, Eliana 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
6 371-376 (6 pages)
Campylobacter (C.) fetus (epsilonproteobacteria) is an important veterinary pathogen. This species is currently divided into C. fetus subspecies (subsp.) fetus (Cff) and C. fetus subsp. venerealis (Cfv). Cfv is the causative agent of bovine genital Campylobacteriosis, an infectious disease that leads to severe reproductive problems in cattle worldwide. Cff is a more general pathogen that causes reproductive problems mainly in sheep although cattle can also be affected. Here we describe a... -
Expression patterns of influenza virus receptors in the respiratory tracts of four species of poultry
Ji Eun Yu, Hakyoung Yoon, Hyun Jeong Lee, Jong Hwan Lee, Byung Joon Chang, Chang Seon Song, Sang-Soep Nahm* 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages
2 7-13 (7 pages)
The primary determinant of influenza virus infectivity is the type of linkage between sialic acid and oligosaccharides on the host cells. Hemagglutinin of avian influenza viruses preferentially binds to sialic acids linked to galactose by an α-2,3 linkage whereas hemagglutinin of human influenza viruses binds to sialic acids with an α-2,6 linkage. The distribution patterns of influenza receptors in the avian respiratory tracts are of particular interest because these are important for initial... -
Genotoxicity and toxicological effects of acrylamide on reproductive system in male rats
Hye-Jin Yang, Sang-Hyun Lee, Yong Jin, Jin-Hyang Choi, Chang-Hoon Han, Mun-Han Lee 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages
3 103-109 (7 pages)
The toxicity of acrylamide was evaluated through mutagenicity of Salmonella, chromosome aberration of Chinese hamster lung fibroblasts, micronucleus formation in mice and reproductive toxicity in rats. Based on Ames test, acrylamide showed mutagenic potency for strains TA98 and TA100. Moreover, both chromosomal aberration assay and micronucleus assay indicated that acrylamide might have genotoxic potency; the chromosomal aberration frequencies were observed to be proportional to acrylamide... -
Frequencies of Micronuclei in Peripheral Lymphocytes in Korean Populations after Chronic Low-dose Radiation Exposure
Mi-Young An and Tae-Hwan Kim 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
11 213-218 (6 pages)
The purpose of this study was to estimate predictive markers of intrinsic radiosensitivity in individuals who were exposed to occupational or environmental radiation. Throughout this process, the actual biohazard risks and base-line chromosome damage were evaluated in human population. Further studies were carried out to provide evidence for the existence of individual variations in age-dependent responses through micronuclei (MN) assay. Spontaneous frequencies not only vary greatly between... -
A comparison study of the effects of nasal breathing dysfunction due to adenoid obstruction on dentition by facial type
The Korean Journal of Orthodontics 9 Pages
The Korean Journal of Orthodontics 1996, 제 26권 제 6호 1 647-655 (9 pages)
In discussing the effects of adenoids on the development of the face and dentition, it is important to note their influence on the mode of breathing and to relate this to specific facial types and dentition. This study, therefore, assumed that the ability to adapt to individual`s neuromuscular complex is various. And tried to investigate the effects of reduced nasal respiratory function on the development of dentition by facial type. This paper is based on children patients with enlarged...
