Graphene Based Electrochemical DNA Biosensor for Detection of False Smut of Rice (Ustilaginoidea virens)
Kritika Rana, Jagjiwan Mittal, Jagriti Narang, Annu Mishra, Ramesh Namdeo Pudake 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 8 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2021, 37권 3호 8 291-298 (8 pages)
simple, sensitive, and selective oxidized graphene-based geno-biosensor for the detection of rice false smut. The biosensor has been developed using a probe DNA as a biological recognition element on paper electrodes, and oxidized graphene to enhance the limit of detection and sensitivity of the sensor. Probe single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) and target ssDNA hybridization on the interface surface has been quantitatively measured with the electrochemical analysis tools namely, cyclic voltammetry, and... -

catalyst materials. We examined the photocatalytic activity and catalytic recyclability with some kinds of semiconductor/graphene (binary type) or semiconductor/graphene-TiO2(ternarytype) nanocompositesfabricatedwithmodifiedchemicalandphysicalmethods. The prepared composites were characterized by some kinds of spectroscopic techniques including transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopic analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). These graphene-based photocatalysts has... -
A modified electrode by a facile green preparation of reduced graphene oxide utilizing olive leaves extract
Abeer Baioun, Hassan Kellawi, Ahamed Falah 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 7 47-54 (8 pages)
work a green method of reducing graphene oxide (rGO) by an inexpensive, effective and scalable method using olive leaf aqueous extract as the reducing agent, was used to produce rGO. Both GO and rGO were prepared and investigated by ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, cyclic voltammetry, X-ray photoelectron spectra, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. -

oxide (rGO) prepared using eco-friendly reduction agents in the graphene solution process. Hydrazine is generally used to reduce graphene oxide (GO), which results in polluting emissions as well as fixed nitrogen functional groups on different defects in the graphene sheets. To replace hydrazine, we developed eco-friendly reduction agents with similar or better reducing properties, and selected of them for further analysis. In this study, GO layers were produced from graphite flakes using a... -
Effects of synthesis pressure conditions on the preparation of graphene-like carbonaceous materials from organic liquid precursors by a solvothermal method

Carbon materials with at least one dimension of 1?100 nm are called carbon nanomaterials. A significant body of previous research in physics, chemistry and biology has demonstrated that the properties of nano-composites are significantly different than those of the bulk materials [1]. Some unique phenomena, such as the quantum tunneling effect, and surface effects, have also been observed, and attributed to the large surface area and small size of the carbon nanomaterials. It has been reported... -
Capacitance behaviors of conducting polymer-coated graphene nanosheets composite electrodes containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes as additives
Hoe-Seung Kim, Yongju Jung, Seok Kim 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 6 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.23 9 63-68 (6 pages)
Global warming is rapidly becoming a major concern as a result of the continuing emissions of greenhouse gases generated by the combustion of fossil fuels. To resolve this problem, various studies on efficient energy storage devices have been undertaken. Electronic technologies are increasingly used in electronic products and systems, and they require effective energy storage [1,2]. Supercapacitors are energy storage devices with high power density and long cycle life, and have been spotlighted... -
Dispersions of partially reduced graphene oxide in various organic solvents and polymers
Hye Min Kim, Seo Gyun Kim, Heon Sang Lee 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.23 8 55-62 (8 pages)
We report on the dispersion state of partially reduced graphene oxide (PRGO) in organic solvents, namely methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate, methylene chloride, toluene, and xylene, by controlling the carbon to oxygen (C/O) atomic ratio of the PRGOs. A two-phase solvent exchange method is also proposed to transfer PRGO from water to an aprotic solvent, such as methyl ethyl ketone. We achieve relatively good dispersion in aprotic and non-polar solvents by controlling the C/O atomic ratio of the... -
Synthesis, characterization, and antibacterial performance of Ag-modified graphene oxide reinforced electrospun polyurethane nanofibers
Bishweshwar Pant, Mira Park, Rae-Sang Jang, Woo-Cheol Choi, Hak-Yong Kim, Soo-Jin Park 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 5 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.23 3 17-21 (5 pages)
Polyurethane (PU) nanofibers containing graphene oxide (GO) and Ag doped functionalized reduced graphene oxide (Ag-RGO) were successfully prepared via the electrospinning technique. The uniform distribution of GO sheets along with Ag nanoparticle in the nano?bers was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and the elemental mapping technique. X-ray diffraction and thermal gravimetric analysis veri?ed the presence of GO and Ag in the bicomposite nano?brous mats. Antibacterial tests against... -

was assessed by soaking in simulated body fluid, and the GF exhibited enhanced mineralization ability in terms of mineral deposition, which almost pervaded the entire GF surface. Our results suggest that graphene promotes cell adhesion, activity and the formation of bonelike apatite. This research is expected to facilitate a better understanding of graphene-cell interactions and potential applications of graphene as a promising toughening nanofiller in bioceramics used in load-bearing implants.
