Effect of multi-planar CT image reformatting on surgeon diagnostic performance for localizing thoracolumbar disc extrusions in dogs
Jason B. King, Jeryl C. Jones, John H. Rossmeisl Jr*, Tisha A. Harper, Otto I Lanz, Stephen R. Werre 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 8 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2009, 제 10권 제 3호 8 225-232 (8 pages)
Accurate pre-operative localization and removal of disc material are important for minimizing morbidity in dogs with thoracolumbar disc extrusions. Computed tomography (CT) is an established technique for localizing disc extrusions in dogs, however the effect of multi-planar reformatting (MPR) on surgeon diagnostic performance has not been previously described. The purpose of this study was to test the effect of MPR CT on surgeon diagnostic accuracy, certainty and agreement for localizing... -
Using pig biliary system, in vivo propagation of Enterocytozoon bieneusi, an AIDS-related zoonotic pathogen
John Hwa Lee 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages

a system of propagation using the pig biliary system. The parasite spores were continuously detected in the bile samples post onset of spore shedding in the gall bladder, which suggests that this organism maintain persistent infection in the biliary system and that the hepatobiliary tree may represent a reservoir of infection. In conclusion the biliary tree is an adequate niche for the propagation of E. bieneusi. This work has also resulted in the development of a procedure of ultrasound-guided... -

a CPU and display media and tangible objects, and satisfaction of experiential usage of the system. Results: Both groups responded that the most interesting training area was executive function while the least interesting was concentration. Six participants reported that the size of the screen of the tablet PC was inappropriate, and five responded that the size of the tool was inappropriate. All therapists and 40% of the patients responded that they were satisfied with this system. Conclusion:... -
Ruining Representation:Barbara Kruger's Text-and-Image Montage
Hee-young KIM 한국조형교육학회 조형교육 19 Pages
한국조형교육학회 조형교육 2010, 제 36집 6 183-201 (19 pages)
This paper regards the text-and-image montage of Barbara Kruger(b.1945) as a critique of the stereotyped representations of women in late capitalist consumer society. By appropriating the devices of advertising and mimicking spectacle (Sussman, 1989: 10-13), Kruger calls into question the representations of women in mass media and ultimately intends to expose and depose the “system of subjection”(Owens, 1992). The issues of the commodification and the consumption of images are central to a... -

경인교육대학교 교육연구원 The Journal of Education 2020, Vol.3 No.2 8 125-134 (10 pages)
This paper explores digital artworks that were mainly exhibited in the art gallery of GINUSEUM in Gyeongin National University of Education, Korea, and in the Community Media Center in Incheon. Last year, nine renowned artists from Korea participated in a media art exhibition titled Media Sensibilia in GINUSEUM. Consequently, a digital installation from the exhibition was invited to the Community Media Center in Incheon, for the experiential education of the residents. The fundamental purpose of... -
Non-invasive quantification of hepatic fat content in healthy dogs by using proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and dual gradient echo magnetic resonance imaging
Francesca Del Chicca, Andrea Schwarz, Dieter Meier, Paula Grest, Annette Liesegang, Patrick R. Kircher 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2018, 제 19권 제 4호 14 570-576 (7 pages)
The objective of the present study was to describe two non-invasive methods for fat quantification in normal canine liver by using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy. Eleven adult beagle dogs were anesthetized and underwent magnetic resonance examination of the cranial abdomen by performing morphologic, modified Dixon (mDixon) dual gradient echo sequence, and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS) imaging. In addition, ultrasonographic liver examination was performed,... -
Comparative proteomic analysis of outer membrane protein 43 (omp43)-deficient Bartonella henselae
Jun-Gu Kang, Hee-Woo Lee, Sungjin Ko, Joon-Seok Chae 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 12 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2018, 제 19권 제 1호 9 59-70 (12 pages)
Outer membrane proteins (OMPs) of Gram-negative bacteria constitute the first line of defense protecting cells against environmental stresses including chemical, biophysical, and biological attacks. Although the 43-kDa OMP (OMP43) is major porin protein among Bartonella henselae-derived OMPs, its function remains unreported. In this study, OMP43-deficient mutant B. henselae (Δomp43) was generated to investigate OMP43 function. Interestingly, Δomp43 exhibited weaker proliferative ability than... -
Coactosin-like protein 1 inhibits neuronal migration during mouse corticogenesis
Guohong Li, Yupeng Yin, Jiong Chen, Yanle Fan, Juhong Ma, Yingxue Huang, Chen Chen, Pengxiu Dai, Shulin Chen, Shanting Zhao 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2018, 제 19권 제 1호 4 21-26 (6 pages)
Coactosin-like protein 1 (Cotl1), a member of the actin-depolymerizing factor (ADF)/cofilin family, was first purified from a soluble fraction of Dictyostelium discoideum cells. Neuronal migration requires cytoskeletal remodeling and actin regulation. Although Cotl1 strongly binds to F-actin, the role of Cotl1 in neuronal migration remains undescribed. In this study, we revealed that Cotl1 overexpression impaired migrationof both early- and late-born neurons during mouse corticogenesis....
