이 논문은 한국어와 일본어에 있어서 신체어를 이용한 시간 표현을 정리하여 대조한 것이다. 그 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국어나 일본어에서 인간의 신체어 중 시간 표현에 쓰이는 것은 머리 부분에 집중되어 있다. 둘째, 한국어에서는 머리 가운데에서도 '눈'과 '코'가 많이 쓰이는 데 반해 일본에서는 '눈'과 '입'이 많이 쓰인다. 셋째, 한국어와 일본어에서 신체어를 이용한 시간 표현은, 과거보다 현재나 미래, 어떤 시간대의 끝보다 시작, 긴 시간보다 짧은 시간을 나타내는 것들이 훨씬 풍부하다. 넷째, 일본어의 경우...
