Sandardization of a Graft Inoculation Method for the Screening of Mungbean Germplasm against Mungbean yellow mosaic virus(MYMV)
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 3 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2003, 19권 5호 8 257-259 (3 pages)
report described a simple, inexpensive, faster, and effective graft inoculation method for the artificial transmission of Mungbean yellow mosaic virus (MYMV). Success of grafting and disease transmission was 100% in this method. Screening of mungbean germplasm using this method will prevent the chance of escape infection, probably as a consequence of non-preference mechanism and loss of vector infectivity. The grafting method described here is applicable to both screenhouse and field trials. -

cate that transgenic expression of CTLA-4 in mouse T cells (CTLA-4-Tg T cells) results in reduced cell cycle progression and increased apoptosis of TCR-stimulated T cells. CTLA-4-Tg T cells display reduced T cell proliferation in an in vivo model of graft versus host disease (GVHD). These results further our understanding of how CTLA-4 can be manipulated to inhibit immune responses and may help development of new therapeutic strategies for clinical settings of autoimmunity and transplantation. -

The edentulous posterior maxillary region presents unique and challenging conditions in implant dentistry compared with other regions of the jaws1,2). The available bone is lost from the inferior expansion of the sinus and residual ridge resorption after tooth loss. These factors increase stress to the implants. However, despite these concerns, treatment methods designed specifically for this area allow it to be as predictable as any other intraoral region. -

cranial cruciate ligament (CrCL). The PLA of stifles with complete CrCL rupture was significantly lower than that of normal stifles, particularly at a flexion angle of 60∼80o in both plain and stress views. If the PLA was <90.55o on the stress view with a 60∼80o flexion angle, the dog was diagnosed with a complete rupture of the CrCL with a sensitivity of 83.9% and specificity of 100%. In conclusion, measuring the PLA is a quantitative method for diagnosing complete CrCL rupture in canines. -
