한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2015, Vol.16 No.4 3 241-246 (6 pages)
Rapid industrial development in recent times has increased the demand for light-weight materials with high strength and structural integrity. In this context, carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) composite materials are being extensively used. However, laminated CFRPs develop faults during impact because CFRPs are composed of mixed carbon fiber and epoxy. Moreover, their fracturing behavior is very complicated and difficult to interpret. In this paper, the effect of the direction of lamination... -

Kyung Tae Park, Taehoon Kim, Chong Rae Park 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 11 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2014, Vol.15 No.3 1 151-161 (11 pages)
Exceptional progress has been made with chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of graphene in the past few years. Not only has good monolayer growth of graphene been achieved, but large-area synthesis of graphene sheets has been successful too. However, the polycrystalline nature of CVD graphene is hampering further progress as graphene property degrades due to presence of grain boundaries. This review will cover factors that affect nucleation of graphene and how other scientists sought to obtain large... -

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 14 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2017, 33권 6호 1 529-542 (14 pages)
Control of plant diseases is largely dependent on use of agrochemicals. However, there are widening gaps between our knowledge on plant diseases gained from genetic/mechanistic studies and rapid translation of the knowledge into target-oriented development of effective agrochemicals. Here we propose that the time is ripe for computer-aided drug discovery/design (CADD) in molecular plant pathology. CADD has played a pivotal role in development of medically important molecules over the last three... -

speed was found to be the most significant factor in relation to the fiber diameter. While it was observed that thicker carbon fiber generally shows improved preferred orientation, the most important variable affecting the preferred orientation was found to be the entry angle. As the entry angle decreased from 120° to 60°, the shear flow was enhanced to induce more ordered radial alignment of crystallite planes so as to obtain carbon fibers with a higher degree of preferred orientation. As a... -

adsorb carbon dioxide (CO2). The CO2 adsorption characteristics of the prepared hc-AC are investigated at different temperatures. The X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that pitch-based cokes prepared under high temperature and pressure have a high crystal structure. The textural properties of hc-AC indicate that it consists mainly of slit-like pores. Compared to other textural forms of AC that have higher pore volumes, this slit-poreshaped hc-AC exhibits higher CO2 adsorption due to the simila... -
