본 연구는 성폭행 피해 아동에 대한 개입방안을 소개하였다. 성폭행 후유증의 다양성과 복잡성을 고려할 때 한 가지 이론이나 개입보다는 다차원적인 개입이 필요하다. 신뢰감형성, 감정적 정화, 성에 대한 인지적 재구조화, 회복과정의 점검, 자조집단, 가족교육, 가해자에 대한 대응 등의 방안을 제안하면서 각 방안을 적용할 때의 주의할 점을 제시하였다. 가장 중요한 요소로 치료자가 마음의 문을 열고 희생자에게 사랑을 주는 것이 중요함을 강조하였다.
