During the period from 1967 to August 1974, 14308 delivery cases of Korean women have been observed in the Ewha Womans University Hospital for determining congenital anormalies, especially anencephalus. The results obtained are as follows: 1) The fetal congenital anormalies of 109 cases (0.76%) was detected in the total 14308 delivery cases. 2) The 25 cases (23%) was anencephalus in total 109 cases of congenital anormalies. 3) Significant increase of anencephalus (84%) caused by medication of the Herb and Occidental drugs in early pregnancy period within 3 months.
