Positive contrast orbitography was performed on 11 cases of suspicious orbital tumor during recent 2 years. The results are summerized as follows. 1. There was neither technical failure nor pseudo-positive in all of 11 orbitographies Leakages of contrast media into peripheral space were found in 2 cases, not inducing difficulties in diagnosis of orbital tumor. 2. The sizes and extents of orbital tumors were confirmed after operation in 9 out of the positive 10 cases. 3. Shadows of optic nerve were identified in 7 cases, in 5 of which displacement was noted. 4. Differentiation between benign and malignant tumor was not clear. 5. As sequelae, mild degree of orbital tension, edema of conjunctiva and eyelids and conjunctival hyperemia were met but those were subsided within 3 hrs after injection of contrast material. 6. In conclusion, orbitography was sufficiently valuable and safe in diagnosis of orbital tumors visualizing exact locations and extents.
