Water repellency, its durability to repeated washing, tear strength, crease recovery, and stability to acid and alkali were measured, after independent and conjunctive treatment of the repellenting agents prepared with the water-solution of 1,2-disubstituted imidazoline compounds to fibers, such as polyester/cotton (65/35) blended fabric, cotton fabric, and nylon taffeta, etc. From the results of these preperties, it was found that the repellenting agents of 1,2-disubstituted imidazoline compounds had a good durable softening and water repellency to the polyester/cotton blended fabric and nylon taffeta.
