Drip infusion urography and pelvic angiography were performed in 15 women with pelvic masses in women during the period from August 1974 to March 1976. A thin curvilinear opacification along the margin of the tumor (“rim”sign) was demonstrated in not only in two cases of dermoid cyst but also in two cases of chronic tubo-ovarian abscess. The uterine tumors such as myoma, leiomyosarcoma, or choriocarcinoma, however, did not present“rim”sign. DIU and pelvic angiography were reliable procedures in raiological differential diagnosis of pelvic mass lesions in women.
