The structure of phytolaccoside G(I), one of the minor saponins of the roots of Phytolacca americana, has been elucidated as 3-${eta}$-D-xylopyranosyljaligonic acid. And phytolaccoside B(II) is 30-methylester of phytolaccoside G.
