To investigate the fungal flora in Korea, the basidio-mycetes and other higher fungi were collected in Seoul and Gyung-gi Province and examined for identification. Nine species and two varieties were identified and two of them, Agaricus xanthodermus Gen. and Lactarius nigroviolascens var. marginatus Smith & Hesler, were found to be unrecorded fungi. The total number of the higher fungi in Korea now exceeds 600 species including those reported during the past five years.
