Some experiments were carried out to investigate the properties of silk fabric treated with silicone resin by means of the variation of time, temperature, concentration, and curing condition. The result obtained were summarized as follows; 1) The weight gains increased with the increase of concentration of silicone resin solution, while the moisture regains decreased. 2) The crease recovery and the elongation of silk fabric treated with silicone resin increased with the increase of the weight gains of resin, while the tensile strength decreased. The stiffness of treated silk fabric was excellent. 3) Acidic or basic amino acid in silk showed a reaction with silicone resin. 4) The yellowing decreased with the increase of resin gains of silk fabric. 5) The surface of silk fabric was coarse with the increase of the resin gains.
