Authors experienced 214 percutaneous nephrostomies at 182 patients from July 1982 to April 1987 at the Dept. of diagnostic Radiology, Seoul National Univ. Hospital. There were satisfactory results in view of success rate, changes of BUN/Creatinine values after the procedure and the complications associated with the procedure. o the future tasks seem to be the preventionof complications, alleviation of discomport from carrign the nephrostomy tube and adequate follow-up after the procedure.
