Simulation is one of the most widely used techniques in operations research and management science, and by all indications its popularity is on the increase. There have been several impediments to its even wider acceptance and usefulness. This paper presents a simulation study for evaluating lane operation and determining parking space for customers in a supermarket using a SLAM network simulation model. The results for the simulation are analyzed using statistical methods.
