1987년 5월부터 1988년 4월까지 서울, 양주, 용문, 강릉, 제주 등 5개지역에서 채집된 조류의 6목(매목, 닭목, 기러기목, 도요목, 딱따구리목, 참새목)에서 채집된 털이 (Mallophaga)의 표본 700여 개체와 건국대학교 생물학과 소장 표본 털이 400여 개체를 대상으로 조사한 결과 4속 4종의 한국산 미기록종을 추가한다.
The chewing lice (Mallophaga) were isolated from hosts collected in Seoul, Yangju, Yongmoon, Kangneung and Cheju and several other areas during the period of May, 1987 to May, 1988. The host consisted of eighty birds which included in six Orders such as Anseriformes, Galliformes, Falconiformes, Charadriformes, Caprimulgiformes and Passeriformes. The identified chewing lice (Mallophaga) were classified in to 4 species belong to 4 genera, 1 family as following lists of which are newly recorded in Korea. Philopteridae Burmeister, 1838 1) Lipeurus caponis (Linne), 1758 2) Goniodes dissimilis Denny, 1842 3) Goniocotes gallinae (DeGeer), 1778 4) Columbicola columbae (Linne), 1758.
