Medical research and writing for publication are based on a collection and arrangement of related literatures. The authors developed DBMS (Database Management System) for index book of the Journal of the Korean Radiological society. The computer program was generated in Rbase system V language (Microrim) using the IBM compatible AT. Two tables had fundamental data with about 1.4 megabytes. Four tables were derived form them to produce seven printing files, the sum memory of which was about 1.5 megabytes. Many radiologists may utilize the database to pursue the information of theses published in the journal of the Korean radiological society. This DBMS is useful publishing the index book and can be applied by other medical societies.
