The extent of the homogeneity of the Physical Properties such as wrinkle resistance, shrinkage and hand of the fabric on the same 2-and-2 twill worsted fabric was investigated. And the effects of yarn parameters such as crimp and twist in the constituent yarn of the fabric and process parameters such as weaving and finishing processes to their physical properties were analyzed. Especially, for analyzing the effects of finishing process to shrinkage and hand, dimension of the fabric on each sub-process in finishing was experimented. The results in this research included: 1. The main cause of the changes in homogeneity of the physical properties such as crease recovery and shrinkage of the 2-and-2 twill worsted fabric is originated from the changes of the yarn crimp which is mostly affected by the fabric tension in the finishing process. 2. Less fabric tension and high satiability on the finishing process make it high yarn crimp, and then, the more yarn crimp due to small tension in the process, the less shrinkage and the better crease recovery of the fabric. 3. The effect of the single yarn twist to the crease recovery of the fabric is more important than that of the folded yarn twist, and the crease recovery of the fabric is decreased with increasing yarn twist. 4. The degree of contributions of the process factors including yarn crimp effect to the crease recovery and the shrinkage of the 2-andis higher than that of the Yarn construction factors. 5. Less change of the fabric dimension after drying process makes it good fabric hand and less shrinkage of the fabrics. Introduction Attempts to evaluate the hand of fabric in an as shear, bending, and extension, effects Also, theth mechanical propsiris are influenced.
