N, N-Diethyl-N-methacryIoyloxyethy1amn;onium chloride(DAMA), quaternary ammonium salt of 2-diethylaminoethylmethacrylate, was prepared Then P(DAMA) was obtained by polymerization of the DAMA. P(DAMA-co-MAA) was also obtained by copolymerization of the DAMA and MAA(N-methylolacrylamide). Antistatic agents, PDA and PDAC, were prepared by purity control to P(DAMA) and P (DAMA-co-MAA), respectively. PDA and PDAC were treated on PET textiles with and without resin. Then surface electric resistance and half life characteristics value were tested. As the results, there were no remarkable decreasing changes in antistatic abilities of the textiles treated with PDAC-2 and PDAC-4 after 30 times washing. So PDAC-2 and PDAC-4 were proved to be durable anbstatic agents. Surface electric resistance of the textiles treated with PDAC-2 and PDAC-4 before washing were iX 10 7$Omega$ and 2 X 10 7$Omega$, respectively, and half life characteristics values were 0.9 sec and 12 sec, respectively.
