우리나라 남부지역에서 1985~1986년과 1990~1991년에 걸쳐 유자를 가해하는 해충류는 총 5목 21과 40종이 조사되었다. 목별로 보면 응애목 3종, 노린재목 3종, 매미목 12종, 딱정벌레목 7종 그리고 나비목 15종이었다. 그중 귤응애 (Panonychus citri McGregor)와 귤굴나방(Phyllocnistis citrella Sainton)은 특히 피해가 심하여 주기적 방제를 요하는 주요종이었다.
Insect pests of citron trees were observed during the period of 1985∼1986 and 1990∼1991. A total of 5 orders, 21 families and 40 species were observed in southern region of Korea. The number of species of each order is 3 acarina,3 hemipterous, 12 homopterous,7 coleopterous and 15 lepidopterous. Economically important species among them are citrus red mite, Panonychus citri McGregor and citrus leaf miner, Phyllocnistis citrella Sainton.
