In order to obtain the information on the structural characteristics of steel reinforced concrete columns for concrete encased H-shape steel section, parametric experimental study carried out on the maximum compression strength, deflection curve and failure mechanism under concentically axial load. Variables chosen for experiments are slenderness ratio(${lambda}$), ratios of steel($_sP_c$), ratios of hoop($P_w$) and axis direction of loading (concrete encased axis of H-shape steel).
