연두금파리 종령 유충혈구의 미세구조 관찰, acid phosphatase 및 lipid 염색 반응 등을 통하여 혈구의 유형을 원시혈구, 부정형혈구, 과립혈구 type I, II, III, 편도혈구 등의 6가지로 구분하였다. 과립혈구 내에는 acid phosphatase에 높은 활성을 보이는 과립, 그리고 물질의 세포내 유입으로 생겨난 것으로 보이는 활성이 약하거나 없는 과립들이 혼재하였다. Lipid 염색에 활성을 보이는 과립들은 특정 혈구에 집중되어 있지 않고 여러 종류의 혈구들에 1개 또는 3~8개씩 존재하였다.
Hemocyte types of last larval Lucilia illustris were classified based on the results of ultrastructure, acid phosphatase and lipid staining. Hemocytes were classified into six types: prohemocyte(PR), plasmatocyte(PL), granulocyte(GR) type I, II, III, and oenocytoid(OE). Granules showing strong activity on acid phosphatase and a little or little activity on it, which are thought to be formed by input of materials, coexisted in granulocytes. Lipid staining activities were not restricted in particular cells but appeared in several kinds of hemocytes from one to three to eight granules.
