미국흰불나방 (Hyphantria cunea Drury)의 $eta$-N-Acetylglucosaminidase II (EII)가 열에 대한 안정성이 높음을 감안하여 6$0^{circ}C$에서 열처리하고 gradient slab PAGE를 이용하여 EII를 분리하였으며 이를 gel 절단 방법으로 정제하였다. 혈림프와 whole body의 EII는 발생 전시기에 활성을 나타내며 용화직후(PO)에 최대 활성을 나타냈으나 효소단백질은 전시기에 비교적 일정량이 존재하였다.
$eta$-N-Acetylglucosaminidase II(EII) of Hyphantria cunea Drury was isolated and purified by heat treatment (at 6$0^{circ}C$ for 40 min) and gel slice method with gradient PAGE. EII activity in haemolymph and whole body was detected throughout the developmental stages, and increased in early prepupae and had maximum activity just after pupal ecdysis. On the other hand, the amount of EII was relatively constant during development (7LE-P3).
