This study investgated citation pattems of publication by researchers in eledncal and electronics engineering in Korea. As sources to derive citation$ Koran Peridcals Index (KPI) and the INSPEC database were seleded, and some 235 articles indexed in KPI and 189 arbcles indexed in INSPEC yielded 3,414 citations. It Identhd the citation behavior of researchers in the field, compared citabn behavior by author affhation (government, universities, and industry/cnmprues), and compared the catation patterns exhibited by articles taken from Kroean and non- Korean publications. Based on the fin-, it was concluded that the citation analysis results could ydd helpful information for the provision of library and information center services and collection development.
