Thombolytic therapy and placement of vascular metallic stent can be used for the treatment of iliac venousstenosis and thrombosis, but theses treatments increase the risk of pulmonary thromboembolism. Inferior vena cavafilter was developed for the prevention of recurrent pulmonary thromboembolism due to lower extremity deep veinthrmobosis and has been regarded as relatively safe and effective treatment modality. We expierenced good resultof combined treatment of inferior vena filter, thrombolytic therapy and placement of right iliac venous metallicstent in a patient with severe stenosis and thrombosis at both common iliac veins.
