This study was designed to examine the quality of life among new generation housewives. Selected variables were home management consciousness and home management behavior, and satisfaction with family life. Path analysis was used to test the causal model of quality of life. The data for this study were collected from 834 housewives, and analyzed employing SPSS $PC^+$ statistical package. Major findings were as follows: 1. The satisfaction with family life was the strongest predictor of the quality of life. 2. Home management behavior had both direct and indirect effect via satisfaction with family life on the quality of life. 3. Home management consciousness had indirect effect through home management behavior and satisfaction with family life on the quality of life. Implications were discussed.
