CALS is a global information strategy which may be viewed as the industrial or manufacturing lane on the Information Highway. The basic vision of CALS is to improve costs, timeliness and quality through information automation and integration. This paper present a CALS implementation framework that incorporates organizational environment, CALS standard, process innovation and information systems. The implementation framework of CALS guides an organization to gain perspective in a complex CALS area and provides insights for academicians in identifying where research needs to be performed. A case study was used to provide the insight how a CALS implemention framework is being used. The case was analyzed according to the framework we proposed.
