This study identifies behavioral characteristics of stall keepers in Taegu area. Based on a survey data collected from stall keepers and store owners, the following results are derived. 1) The paddlers around residential areas bring about unsanitary living condition by neglecting cleaning after business and leaving their equipments for business continuation. 2) Residents do not show strong malice to stall keepers because they understand that most stall keepers do their business in order to keep their living. 3) Store owners know that the existence of stall keepers attracts more customers to their stores, thus show positive attitudes towards stall keepers. By sumarizing above results, we suggest that goverment authority should search some alternative policies rathfe than strict legal enforcements.
