한국산 주요 모기종의 숙주동물 기호도 및 흡혈습성을 규명하고자 인가주변에 서식하는 16종의 척추동물을 대상으로 hemoglobin crystal의 표준 모델을 선정하였고, 표준 모델의 분류형질을 이용하여 숙주동물의 hemoglobin crystal 동정 검색표를 작성하였다.
The purpose of this study was to determine the feeding preference of the major mosquito species in Korea. Standard models of hemoglobin crystals were established using blood samples of 16 vertebrates dwelling around the village. A key to the hemoglobin crystal of host animals was made based on the models in order to identify the source of blood meal.
