HAp/chitosan composites were synthesized by co-precipitation of chitosan solution and H$_3$PO$_4$ in Ca(OH)$_2$, suspension. From these composites HAp/chitosan hybrid fibers were prepared by using wet-spinning method. The presence of HAp particles in the chitosan fibers was confirmed from XRD analysis and SEM observation of sintered HAp/chitosan hybrid fibers. HAp particles were uniformly dispersed in the chitosan fiber matrix. The morphology of HAp/chitosan hybrid fibers was also examined by SEM. With increasing content of HAp particles, the fineness of fibers became thicker and the tenacity decreased.
