The purpose of this study is to understand the residential needs of family types and to suggest the basic documents for the apartments remodeling, which can be through the actual survey of residential living of old apartments. Generally, they have the residential living pattern according to the family types and the residential space types and it has an effect on the confrontation structure of residential living and residential space. Finally, through the analysis on the confrontation structure of residential living and residential space according to the family types and residential space, we found the residential needs and the family types and the applicable family types and there is some difference the residential needs according to the family types, but no difference according to the entrance types.
