본 연구에서는 우리나라 과학기술분야 전문정보센터의 활성화 및 발전을 위하여 KISTI에서 지정하여 지원하고 있는 전문정보센터에 대한 운영전반에 걸친 문제점, 현황, 역할 등을 다양한 각도에서 검토$cdot$분석하여 개선 및 발전방안을 마련하였다. 그리고 21세기 지식정보사회에 적합한 우리나라 과학기술분야 전문정보센터에 대한 국가적 차원의 통합적인 지정기준을 마련하고 효율적인 운영방안을 제시하였다.
This study is to propose the strategic plans and the methods of status establishment for developing the specialized information centers in science & technology towards the knowledge information society in 21st century. The major objectives of this study are to analyze present management status and problems, to suggest the standards of designation and effective management methods, and to reestablish the status of specialized information centers in science & technology.
