우리나라의 수학영재교육은 그 역사가 짧아 아직 제도적으로 체계화 되지못해 여러가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 그동안 여러 형태의 영재교육기관이 설립되어 수학영재교육을 맡아 왔는데 그 중에서도 학부모와 학생들로부터 점차 인정을 받아 자리를 잡아가는 대학부설 과학영재교육원은 우리나라 영재교육에 많은 기여를 하고 있다. 본 논문은 우리나라의 영재교육 발전을 위하여 전국 23개 대학부설 과학영재교육원의 수학반 운영실태와 교육과정, 교육내용을 비교 분석하고 문제점을 찾아 그에 대한 개선방안을 제시한다.
The history of the gifted education in mathematics is short. And the governmental policies and school practices for gifted education were more focused on gifted education in science. But the gifted education in mathematics will become an important part of gifted education. A situation of the education center for the gifted in science is developing favorably more and more because students and parents have a correct understanding of the education center for the gifted in science. The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the mathematics curriculum, the contents of education at mathematics class and the actual conditions of operation by the education center for the gifted in science attached to 23 universities in Korea. And we suggested several ideas to improve the problems for gifted education in mathematics.
