보다 효과적인 초등 수학 영재교육을 위해서는 이에 관한 실제적인 학습 지도에 관한 다양한 연구의 집적이 필요하다. 이 연구는 초등 수학 영재교육을 위한 다양하고 확산적인 사고활동을 통해 창조성 육성의 학습 지도에 초점을 두었다. 초등학교 5학년 수학 영재 학생들에게 <다양한 계산식 만들기>와 <두 수 사이의 관련성 찾기>를 적용하여, 학생들의 산출물을 세밀하게 분석하고 평가하는 방법을 모색하였다. 초등학교 5학년 수학 영재 학생들은 다양하고 많은 계산식을 만들었으며, 두 수 사이의 관련성 또한 다량으로 발견하였다. 이러한 실천적인 연구의 집적을 통하여, 초등학교 수학 영재 학생들의 학습 지도와 평가 방법 및 교재 개발 등 영재교육 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.
As it is not long since the gifted education was implemented in elementary school, it is necessary to accumulate the practical studies on the mathematically gifted education. This paper focused on enhancing creativity by providing the various and divergent thinking activities for mathematically gifted students. For this purpose, I prepared two mathematics problems, <posing the various calculating equations> and <finding the relations between two numbers>, and let the mathematically gifted 5th grade students solve them. After that, I investigated to analyse their reactions in detail and tried to find the methods for assessing their divergent products. Finally, I found that they could pose various and meaningful calculating equations and also identify the various relations between two numbers. I expect that accumulating these kinds of practical studies will contribute to the developments of gifted education, in particular, instructions, assessments, and curriculum developments for the mathematically gifted students in elementary schools.
