Purpose : This purpose of this study is to research basic principles, treatment and kinds of manual therapy of Tuina. Methods : This is a literature study with books and articles. Results : Tuina as a treatment technique with a long history was called by various names. As a term Tuina appears, the technical books and widespread treatments were performed. In modern times, safety was emphasized from chemical and biological side effects of medications, according to this tendency alternative medicine was on the rise. Conclusion : Tuina has a sufficient clinical treatment history and comes into the spotlight as an excellent treatment based on the academic system of oriental medicine.
