본 연구는 서울 및 수도권 소재의 중학교 1학년 학생 262명을 대상으로, 청소년의 창의성과 자아존중감 및 자기효능감 간에 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. Torrance(1990)의 창의적 사고력 도형검사, 박영애(1995)의 자아존중감 척도, 김아영(1997)의 자기효능감 척도를 이용하여 수집된 자료는 Cronbach\'s α 계수, 평균, 표준편차, t-검증, Pearson의 적률상관분석, 정준상관분석을 통해 분석되었다. 연구결과, 청소년의 창의성과 자아존중감 및 자기효능감은 보통 수준 이상으로 나타났으며, 창의성의 하위요인 중 유창성 요인과 자아존중감의 하위요인 중 학업능력, 운동능력, 행동․품행 요인에서 성차를 확인할 수 있었다. 청소년의 창의성과 자아존중감 및 자기효능감 간의 관계에서는 자아존중감과 자기효능감 간에 높은 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 세 변인의 하위요인 간에도 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 끝으로 청소년의 창의성 변인군과 자아존중감 및 자기효능감 변인군과의 관계를 보다 구체적으로 살펴본 결과, 창의성의 변인들 중 제목의 추상성이 자아존중감 및 자기효능감을 가장 잘 예측하는 것으로 나타났고, 그 다음으로는 창의적 강점, 정교성, 성급한 종결에의 저항 순이었다. 창의성 변인들이 가장 잘 예측하는 자아존중감 및 자기효능감의 변인은 자기조절효능감이고, 그 다음으로는 행동․품행에 대한 자아평가, 학업능력, 과제난이도선호와 사회적 수용도 요인으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate how adolescent‘s creativity related to his or her self-esteem and self-efficacy. The Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(Torrance, 1990), the Self-perception profile(Park, 1995), and the General Self-efficacy Scale(Kim, 1997) were administered to 262 middle school students around the capital city. The Data were analyzed by Cronbach α tests, means, standard deviations, t-tests, Pearson\'s Correlations, and canonical correlation analyses. The results of this study as follows: 1. The creativity, self-esteem and self-efficacy of adolescents have achieved above the normal level of expectance. 2. The differences between the two sexes were identified by their academic and physical abilities, behavior and characteristics. 3. The adolescent\'s creativity was presumably associated with self esteem and self efficacy. There was a positive relationships among adolescent\'s creativity, self esteem and self-efficacy and the relationships among the subscales of the three variables were also significant. 4. After further examination, canonical correlation analysis indicated that the Abstractness of Titles was the most powerful predictor of an adolescent\'s self-esteem and self-efficacy. Other influential factors were Creative Strength, Elaboration, and Resistance to Premature Closure. Among self-esteem and self-efficacy factors the best predicted one by creativity was Self-control Efficacy, the next ones were Behavioral Conduct, Scholastic Competence, Task Preference and Social Acceptance.
