이 연구는 대학신문에 보도된 도서관에 관한 기사를 분석하여, 그 당시에 대학도서관이 담당했던 역할과 시대에 따라 어떻게 변하여 왔는가를 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지난 60여 년간 P대학에서 간행한 신문을 대상으로 대학도서관과 관련된 전체 기사를 대상으로 조사 분석하였다. 그 결과 시대의 변화에 따라 기사의 내용도 많이 변화하였던 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 결과는 냉철한 자세로 스스로의 반성을 통해 현실을 직시하며, 미래지향적인 바람직한 도서관상을 정립하기 위한 대학도서관 운영이나 장기발전계획등의 기초 자료로 사용할 수 있을 것이다.
This study analyzes articles reported on university newspapers and figures out what roles they played in those days and how they have changed up to now. For this, it selected newspapers issued at P university for the last 60 years and examined and analyzed every article related to university libraries in them. As a result, it is found that the contents of the articles have been changed dramatically as time goes by. The study result is expected to be used as foundational data for the operation of university libraries or their long-term development projects as we reflect ourselves rationally and face reality and establish desirable future-oriented library features.
