본 논문에서는 멀티 네트워크 인터페이스를 지원하는 해양 통신망의 information server에서 QoS 정보를 수집 및 저장하고 근해 영역을 운항하는 선박이 항구로 입항하는 상황에서 선박 내의 이동 단말이 핸드오버를 수행할 때 predictive QoS 파라미터 정보를 이용하여 트래픽 경로 선택 기법을 제안하였다. 네트워크 상태와 응용서비스 대역폭 조건에 따라 기존 방안과 제안한 방안의 수신 패킷 량을 비교하고 end-to-end 지연시간에 대한 관점에서 성능을 측정하였다.
In this paper, we propose a QoS information collection method at the information server in maritime networks with multi-network interfaces, and a route selection scheme based of the measured predictive QoS information comparing with parameters requested from a mobile node in a ship entering into a harbor from near-shore area. By changing network conditions and applying various application bandwidths, we check the operation of our proposed scheme and measure its performance of the original and proposed schemes in the viewpoints of the received packet traffic and end-to-end delays.
