This study attempts to look into how and with what architectural aspects urban Hanok (traditional Korean-style houses) responded to the housing market of the 1970s, when the focus was brought to the distribution of new types of housing such as modern detached houses and apartments. The target of the study was 2504 Namsan-dong Jung-gu Daegu, where Hanok in a similar type were aggregated on typical lots among the existing areas of aggregated Hanok. The result of research is as follows. (1) The housing sites of 2504 Namsan-dong had been made from one lot of farmland. It belonged to 1 person named Kim,Sihoo and was divided into over 20 small lots. Then each owner got the ownership including Hanok architecture. (2) Every house has 4 rooms, kitchen and bathroom that have almost same size. But there are some small differences; they could be said each type. (3) These Hanok architectures are made of same dimension lumbers. It means they are commercialized stamped houses for the economic efficiency of construction. It has looked into architectural features of the process of constructing the lots in 2504 Namsan-dong and Hanok built on that. Although it started from a microscopic point of view, it has significance that it suggested another case of urban Hanok developed in groups and distributed based on systematic planning claiming an advanced strategy.
