The purpose of this study was to seek a plan of improving quality of occupational
life in masseurs with visual impairment by examining work conditions of

having influence upon job satisfaction. The independent variables were set for the
operating entity, employment type, averagely monthly pay, wage system, working
hours, working-day number, regular holiday, monthly paid holiday & annually paid
holiday, break space, and commuting method as the work conditions. A survey tool of
job satisfaction was used what reconstructed the revised edition 2009 of JDI(Job
Descriptive Index), in line with the objective of this study. Research subjects were
masseurs who work at massage parlors in Seoul·Gyeonggi area. Frequency analysis,
t-test, ANOVA, and Regression analysis were carried out depending on research
problem. These findings are summarized as follows. First, as a result of examining
difference in job satisfaction according to work conditions of visually impaired
masseurs, job satisfaction was indicated to have significant difference in the operating
entity, averagely monthly pay, wage system, working-day number, regular holiday,
monthly paid holiday or annually paid holiday, and commuting method. Second, as a
result of carrying out regression analysis in order to examine factors of having
influence upon job satisfaction in visually impaired masseurs, the averagely monthly
pay, working-day number, and working hours were confirmed to be variables of
having significant influence. To increase job satisfaction in visually impaired masseurs

for enhancing wage, implements working-day number with a 5-day work week
system, and can allot weekly working hours with averagely 40 hours.
