본 연구의 목적은 저소득층 초등학생을 중심으로 방과후 체육활동와 정서발달 및 비행행동 차이에 따른 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널조사(Korean Child Youth Panel Survey) 3차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 초등학교 6학년 학생 2,127명(남학생 1,113명, 여학생 1,014명)을 연구대상으로 설정하였다. 독립변인은 소득계층 수준에 따라 저소득층 초등학생과 일반 초등학생으로 구분하였으며, 방과후 체육활동 참여 여부를 추가하였다. 종속변인은 정서발달과 비행행동으로 구성하였다. 이들 변인 간 관계를 규명하기 위해 SPSS(ver 18.0)를 이용하여 교차분석과 t검증 등을 실시하였으며, 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저소득층 초등학생은 일반 초등학생에 비해 방과후 체육활동 참여비율이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 저소득층 초등학생은 일반 초등학생에 비해 정서발달이 낮고 비행행동이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 방과후 체육활동 참여 여부에 따른 저소득층 초등학생의 정서발달과 비행행동은 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship after school physical activity program participation with emotional development and delinquency behavior of lower-income elementary school students. A total of 2127 6th grade elementary students'(boy: 1113, girl:1014) data were used which surveyed by Korean Child Youth Panel Survey in 2012. For the data analysis, using SPSS series of t-tests were conducted to examine effects of family income level and after school program participation on emotional development and delinquency behaviour. The findings of this study were as follows; First, lower-income group showed lower participation rate than other-income level students' participation rate. Second, lower-income group students showed lower emotional development and higher delinquency behavior than other income groups' emotional development and delinquency behavior. Lastly, There were statistically significant differences in emotional development and delinquency behavior between students who were participating in after school physical activity and students did not participating in after school physical activity among lower-income elementary school students.
