본 연구의 목적은 정신질환자 토탈케어서비스가 정신장애인이 지역사회에 적응하는데 어떤 도움을 주는지 파악하는데 있다. 이 연구를 위한 자료로 한울사회서비스사업단에서 2014년 한해 동안 작성 된 사례일지를 이용하였다. 토탈케어서비스는 정신장애인에게 공식적인 사회서비스이면서 동시에 친구나 이웃처럼 비공식적인 도움을 준다. 이러한 도움의 목표는 첫째, ‘무너진 존재 세우기’이다. 과거, 관계의 상실과 자원의 유실을 겪었던 정신장애인은 자신의 존재를 분절적으로 구성하게 된다. 이로인해 정신장애인에게서 분노와 슬픔, 무기력이 쉽게 발견된다. 사례관리자는 이용자의 말을 특정 문제로 규정하지 않기 위 해 노력한다. 사례관리자는 이용자를 평가하거나 판단하지 않은 채 대화하고 이를 통해 정신장애인 스스로 불안과 낮은 자존감을 정리하고 해석하도록 돕는다. 둘째, ‘지역 관계 속에 살기’이다. 토탈 케어서비스는 그 스스로 정신장애인이 활용할 수 있는 자원이 된다. 자원을 연계해주거나 정보를 제공해주거나 병원이나 시장에 동행해 주는 일들을 한다. 이런 과정을 통해 정신장애인이 지역사회 의 다양한 영역들과 관계를 맺게 되고 상호작용하게 된다.
This study was aimed at understanding how helpful it was for the total care service mentally disabled persons‘s the total care service to adopt to community. On the basis of the case record recorded in H Mental Health Welfare Foundation in 2014, this study has been analyzed by methods of thematic analysis. The total care service is a formal service, and at the same time it gives an informal help such as friends as neighbors. In order to help them, the first good is 'to set up destroyed existence'. The mental disability persons undergone the loss of relationship and resources through past days have a tendency to divide their existence into parts. So that mental disability persons are likely to any emotions like anger, sadness and spiritless. Therefore case manager should make an effort not to prescribe specially fixed story, talk without estimation and judgement and help them so that they put in order and a construction for themselves. The second goal is 'to live in relation with community'. The total care service becomes the resources that mental disability persons are able to apply themselves. It is linked with human and material resources, gives some information and takes them to hospital, market, and so on. Through these process the mental disability persons have become connected with the various parts of community and work for the mutual induction.
