본 연구는 인터넷상의 큐드 스피치 사용자들의 문헌을 통하여 큐드 스피치 사용자들과 큐드 스피치 관련 연구에서 큐드 스피치를 선택하는 배경과 이유를 분석하고 2008년 이후 청각장애교육에서 큐 드 스피치가 제시하는 함의를 해석하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구는 Google search에서 ‘Cued Speech’ ‘reason’, ‘why’로 검색한 255,000개 이상의 결과 중 2008년 이후 미국에서의 큐드 스피치의 교육적 활 용을 언급한 큐드 스피치 사용자의 자서전적 문헌 8개와 뉴스를 포함한 웹게시물 10개에 대하여 주 제어 분석을 통하여 큐드 스피치 선택의 배경을 살펴보았으며 관련 연구결과를 통하여 외적 타당성 을 찾고자 하였다. 연구의 결과, 첫째, 큐드 스피치는 구화나 수화를 통한 표현의 한계를 극복하여 건청세계와의 수월한 의사소통이 선택의 이유가 된다. 둘째, 큐드 스피치는 이중언어교육환경이나 구화교육환경에서 구어 또는 수화와 함께 사용이 가능하다. 셋째, 큐드 스피치 관련 문헌은 큐드 스 피치의 사용이 구어읽기능력, 학력신장과 관련이 있음을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 또한 언어의 다양 성과 표현의 자유에 대하여 시사점을 제안하고 있다.
This research designed to find cued speech user's(cuers') reasons of choosing cued speech by material analysis in the internet, Also, this research performed to find current imprecations of the cued speech adaptation after 2008 in deaf education. Material analysis was done by qualitative research tools, which is key words analyze with Emic process. I searched by Google search with ‘cued speech’ ‘reason’, ‘why’ and collect 8 autobiographical columns and 4 newses, which contain related sentences or words. This research included analysis of research articles which support outer validity. Results is, 1) Cued speech can overcome expressive barrier and receptive barrier. 2) Cued speech make deaf and hard of hearing to communicate with hearing society easily. 3) Cued speech can be used together under the 2bi philosophy or Aural Oral approach, which were accepted common rules of educational field) Material analysis find using cued speech related with oral reading fluency skills and accomplishes. Cued speech is very flexible to adapt other communicational mode.
